Although Buhunds might have enjoyed looting and pillaging their way across the Nordic seas some 1,200 years ago, they are true homebodies. In fact, their name derives from the Norwegian word “bu,” meaning “homestead” or “farm.”

Our Buhund parents are AKC registered and health tested. From day one, puppies are physically, mentally and socially nurtured to enhance their innate abilities.  The loving and cheerful devotion of these puppies makes them the perfect mid-size family companion dog.  Get ready, they do not tire easily and love an active lifestyle.
